ECS delivered environmental civil works to transform an existing farm dam into a purpose-built water detention basin as part of the Ettamogah Rise Stage 5 subdivision.

The upgraded basin was designed to manage stormwater runoff during major rainfall events.

Works included increasing the dam's storage capacity, constructing leaky weirs to slow and diffuse overland flows, and installing low-flow pipes and rock beaching to safely manage peak storm events. Maintenance tracks were also installed.

The project was completed with native grass seed applied via hydromulch and the planting of native tubestock shrubs to stabilise and rehabilitate the surrounding works area.

Our works included:

- Installation of drainage upgrades

- Installation of permeable gabion rock walls

- Installation of rock beaching

- Installation of granitic maintenance access road

- Revegetation plantings
