Fredericks Park Upgrade – "Turtle Park"
Affectionately known for decades as "Turtle Park" thanks to its larger-than-life turtle sculpture, Fredericks Park has been transformed from a tired, ageing playspace into a vibrant, multi-generational community destination.
Following years of community consultation and design review by AlburyCity, the revitalised park now features a bright and contemporary playground with age-appropriate equipment, a dynamic Learn to Ride Track complete with custom concrete jumps and berms, an outdoor gym, and a half playing court. Expanded shade structures, upgraded picnic and BBQ facilities, and thoughtful landscaping enhancements create a welcoming space for families to gather, play, and stay longer.
ECS was proud to deliver the project on budget and ahead of schedule, ensuring the community could begin enjoying the upgraded space sooner.
The result is a colourful, active and inclusive park that encourages movement, learning and connection — while celebrating the much-loved turtle at its heart.
